Santa's workshop

Our house has 2 bedrooms+an office (no closet) and since we wouldn't get much use out of a 2nd bed, Eric and I decided to turn the 2nd bedroom into a lounge/movie room/2nd living area. We got a Sony bravia 42" LCD t.v. and wanted a t.v. stand to match our "arts-and-crafts"/mission style architecture. Since they average about $1500 online, I sweet talked my Dad into making one for us for a Christmas gift. And since Eric's mom works in the shipping department of her place of employment, we were able to get a sweet deal on shipping it by freight too...about $150 (but that price included shipping most of our Christmas gifts too). What a deal!!! Thanks Dad (and Deb). Here's a picture of it. I included an up close pic of the glass that we just had installed today. We wanted a black tinted smoked glass but the glass shop guy got me hooked on this amber colored one. It's textured and tinted and the cool thing is that hides all of our mess inside while still allowing the remote signal and go through it. A pillow is strategically placed to hide the wires...it seems as if the outlet behind the TV stand need some tweaking.
