Big Bend "revisited"

I was digging in my digital archives for a photograph to hang above my bed and came across this one. I'm not sure why I didn't like it enough to include it in my "Best of Big Bend collection". Sometimes I just need to leave it alone and revisit a collection with new eyes later on down the road. Just thought I'd share. This was taken one morning from our campsite. It was my favorite cactus of the trip...something is just very architectural about it's structure.

We had a friendly intruder last night. I went out to my truck to look for a CD ( I know, CD's are old school!) and I found this guy wondering around our driveway. We let him in to play with Bentley while we contacted his owner. Apparently he's quite the escape artist...he's even learned to climb chain link fences! Bentley enjoyed his unscheduled play-date for about 20 minutes...of coarse he couldn't let him into our house without a major sniff-down 1st though.
