"Are we in Texas?"

I can't count how many times I heard this question in the past week. But every time, it was cuter than the previous. Joshua was so pumped up, for so long, about this trip to Texas that once he was here, he had to be reassured that it was really happening. I hope that it was all that he dreamed it would be.

The week included: A trip to a gianormous sandbox, flying a Buzz Lightyear kite (most enjoyed by Brian and Eric), a cavern adventure tour, seeing the south congress street bridge bats, Build-A-Bear, Whorton hears a Who, Austin Duck Boat Tour, Hey Cupcake!...the best cupcakes ever, Amy's icecream (yum!) and SeaWorld in San Antonio. We were busy! We really enjoyed their visit and will miss them. We might not miss them right now, but we will in a little while ;). Just give us a week... or two... or three to recuperate.

I learned three important things this past week.
1. Vacations with kids are not vacations at all.
2. I need a few years before I have a child of my own.
3 . I hope my child takes more after me and less of Tara. I need some quiet time once in a while! He's a talker!

We love him to pieces though.
