Too big for hotmail

I guess I could go through the trouble of compressing these files, but it's just as easy to post them on the blog. Here are the top 7 pictures that I shot for the construction project to help decorate Joshua's room in a construction theme. This way my sister can view them and select what sizes that she wants of each. If you were a 2.5 yr old boy, which one would you like most? Least? And no Chad, the bulldozer (for lack of the technical description, but Joshua could tell me! He's a genius!) isn't actually wrapped in plastic shrink wrap. :)

Get down with the lingo du

I'm pretty young (i think)...27 do be exact and although its only been 10 years or so since high school and 5 years since college...the terminology for things have really changed. I was checking my email and saw an add for this website and thought that it would be fun. Check your knowledge of terms like "poke" "spacecakes" and "crunk" (not the fake gold teeth kind) I think that you too will find yourself a little old. I actually got a 100%, but would have failed miserably without multiple choice. I aways preferred multiple choice and T/F over essay!!!!

Weekend at Bernies

For all of you who have seen and enjoyed the movie Weekend at Bernie's, I assure you that you will get a laugh out of the following article....

www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/01/09/dead.mans.check.ap/index.html?iref=mpstoryview

All for $355 buckaroonies!!!! This makes me wonder, what would you be willing to do for that kind of money (or lack of)?

Oh...I guess that I had misjudged the gullibility of my targeted audience on the last blog entry regarding our new couches. For those of you who thought that Eric and I would be talented, patient, and frugal enough to upholster a couch, thank-you for the complement. And, no Chad, we didn't murder a cow either. I just thought that maybe you needed that part clarified as well!!! Silly me, I thought that the tags (not to mention the complete metamorphosis of the design!) would surely give it away.

Goodbye old friend, hello new!

Most of you have had the pleasure of visiting with Eric and I in one of our 4 temporary humble aboads. And some of those have had the pleasure of sitting on our quaint red and white country checked couches. I'm sure that you all would be disappointed to hear that throughout the past few months, it's been under some stressful conditions (as have I). The stuffing started to fall out a little but we improvised and held it together with a little chewing gum. Just Kidding....that would be way too much effort...we just threw a throw over it and pretended that it wasn't there. But that plan didn't hold up when we got a chill and pulled it down to only get a sprinkle of memory foam on the side. About a week ago, Eric was rushing around to get our meal set up on the coffee table (that's where we eat most of our meals...if we're not eating out) and dumped vinegar (for board walk fries) all over the arm of the sofa. But, we were innovative once again and sprayed it with a little skunk remover that we had left over from Bentley's little bum problem that he had about a year ago...I knew that would somehow come in handy again...I'm just glad that it wasn't for Bentley sake (knock on wood!..I mean it, knock now! That was not fun). A few day's ago, I spilled a drop of mustard on the couch and Eric kept nagging me to clean it up. Instead, we decided to try to invest a few dollars in the finest leather and try our hand at reupholstering it. But it ended up being cheaper to kidnap a cow and butcher it ourselves. So, we picked up those skills as well along the way. Eric has come a long way since he picked the ham off of his pizza on his 1st day of work! Check out our skills below and let us know what you think of the before and after. We're contemplating of quitting our jobs and doing it full time! Our next mission is to get the carpets professionally cleaned...cows put up a bigger fight than you'd think and the longhorns don't help matters! Oh, for memories sake, you can pick up the old fabric on Craig's list if you're interested for $20 a swatch! But who could put a price on memories?
